In the quarterfinals of the “Istanbul Challenger – 78th TED Open”, Japanese player Jay Friend faced Turkish player Yankı Erel and advanced to the semifinals.
Playing on Hilton Court, Friend defeated Erel 6–3, 4–6, 6–3 to book his place in the last four.
The “Istanbul Challenger – 78th TED Open” will conclude with the final on Sunday, 13 September. All matches are open to spectators free of charge.
